Main ingredients of wet wipes
The main components of general wet wipes are:
① Water: Purified water, pure water and RO pure water. The liquid medicine content in wet wipes generally accounts for about 80%. If the content is too low, the wet wipes will feel dry. On the contrary, if the content is too high, it will feel too wet and inconvenient to use. And more than 90% of the liquid medicine is water. In order to avoid the reaction between water and liquid medicine, the water used in wet wipes must be specially treated water, and the words "purified water", "pure water" and "RO pure water" can be seen on the packaging ingredients;
② Moisturizer: Propylene glycol, propylene glycol is a solvent and a humectant, which can help the effective substances in the liquid medicine dissolve in water, make the water not easy to volatilize, and play the role of antibacterial and antiseptic, so almost all wet wipes used contain humectant;
③ Preservatives: phenoxyethanol, methylparaben and paraben. Wet wipes contain a lot of water and different substances. In order to maintain the activity of active substances, preservatives must be added, but usually the preservative content is very low and will not have negative effects;
④ Antibacterial agent: sodium lactate, eucalyptus leaves, there are many types of antibacterial agents, including chemically synthesized antibacterial agents and natural antibacterial agents. As the name suggests, antibacterial agents can eliminate bacteria and inhibit bacterial reproduction;
⑤ Non-ionic surfactants: polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil and polyether, washing powder and most detergents contain non-ionic surfactants, which are used to remove dirt and grease to achieve cleaning.
In addition, there are other natural ingredients, such as eucalyptus leaf essence, natural fungicide chamomile oil, which has soothing and anti-inflammatory effects; aloe vera essence, which has moisturizing effect; and bactericidal alcohol.
